End User License Agreement
The short version: Carrots is free during the beta period. You can use it on up to 2 devices. Don't redistribute or reverse-engineer it. It's beta software — it may have bugs, and you use it at your own risk. Back up anything important. We collect no data from the app.
Carrots is licensed to You (End-User) by Carrots LLC ("Licensor"), for use only under the terms of this License Agreement. By downloading or installing Carrots, You agree to be bound by all terms and conditions below. Carrots LLC is solely responsible for the Licensed Application and its content.
1. The Application
Carrots ("Licensed Application") is a Windows file browsing and management application. It is used to:
- Browse, organize, and manage files on Windows with inline dropdown navigation, Quick Preview, and built-in editing tools
- Preview images, videos, 3D models, and documents without opening external applications
- Edit images (crop, resize, rotate) and videos (trim, extract audio, export GIFs) without switching apps
- Organize files with star ratings, color tags, collections, and batch renaming tools
- Batch convert images and videos between formats (PNG, JPG, WEBP, HEIC, MP4, MOV, WEBM, GIF)
Carrots is designed for Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) and Windows 11. The Licensed Application is not tailored to comply with industry-specific regulations (HIPAA, FISMA, etc.). If your use would be subject to such laws, you may not use this Licensed Application.
2. Scope of License
2.1 This license governs any updates of the Licensed Application provided by Licensor.
2.2 You may not share, sell, rent, lend, lease, or otherwise redistribute the Licensed Application to third parties without Carrots LLC's prior written consent.
2.3 You may not reverse engineer, disassemble, decompile, modify, or attempt to derive the source code of the Licensed Application.
2.4 You may not copy or alter the Licensed Application except as expressly authorized. You may install the Licensed Application on up to two (2) devices as specified in Section 2.8. You may create backup copies for archival purposes. You may not remove intellectual property notices. If you sell your device to a third party, remove the Licensed Application first.
2.5 Violations of the above, including attempted infringement, may be subject to prosecution and damages.
2.6 Licensor reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions of licensing.
2.7 When using the Licensed Application, You must comply with applicable third-party terms and conditions.
2.8 This license grants You the right to install and use the Licensed Application on up to two (2) devices that You own or control. If You wish to use the Licensed Application on more than two devices, You must obtain an additional license.
3. Technical Requirements
Minimum: Windows 10 (1809+), x64 processor, 4 GB RAM, DirectX 11 compatible graphics, 200 MB storage.
Recommended: Windows 11, 8 GB RAM, 500 MB storage (for cache), SSD.
It is Your responsibility to confirm that your device meets these requirements. Licensor reserves the right to modify technical specifications at any time.
4. Maintenance and Support
Carrots LLC is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for this Licensed Application. You can reach us at support@carrots-app.com. Support is provided on a best-effort basis with no guaranteed response time.
5. Use of Data
Carrots does not collect, store, or transmit personal data, file data, or usage data from the Licensed Application. See Section 7 (No Data Collection) and our Privacy Policy for full details.
6. Beta Software Disclaimer
Carrots is currently in beta testing. By using it, You acknowledge and agree that:
1. The Application is provided "as-is" and may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete features.
2. Carrots LLC makes no guarantees regarding stability, performance, or fitness for any particular purpose.
3. You assume all risks associated with using beta software, including potential data loss or system instability.
4. Carrots LLC may discontinue, modify, or change features at any time without notice during the beta period.
5. User feedback and bug reports are encouraged but not required.
6. The beta version is provided free of charge and may transition to a paid model in the future.
7. Carrots LLC may expire older builds and require You to update to continue using the application.
We strongly recommend keeping backups of important files. Do not rely on beta software for mission-critical work.
7. No Data Collection
Carrots LLC does not collect, store, or transmit any user data, files, or personal information from the Licensed Application. All file operations occur locally on your device. No internet connection is required for the application to function.

8. Liability
8.1 Licensor's responsibility in the case of violation of obligations and tort shall be limited to intent and gross negligence. Only in case of a breach of essential contractual duties shall Licensor also be liable in case of slight negligence. Liability shall be limited to foreseeable, contractually typical damages. This limitation does not apply to injuries to life, limb, or health.
8.2 Licensor takes no responsibility for damages caused by a breach of duties under Section 2. You are required to maintain backups of your files.
8.3 During the free beta period, Carrots LLC's maximum total liability for any claim arising from this Agreement is zero dollars ($0), as no payment has been made.
9. Warranty
9.1 Licensor warrants that the Licensed Application is free of spyware, trojan horses, viruses, or any other malware at the time of Your download, and works as described in the user documentation, subject to the Beta Software Disclaimer in Section 6.
9.2 No warranty is provided for a Licensed Application that has been modified, combined with incompatible hardware or software, or affected by reasons outside of Carrots LLC's control.
9.3 If Carrots LLC confirms a defect, Carrots LLC reserves the right to remedy it by solving the defect or providing a substitute version. Bug reports emailed to support@carrots-app.com within thirty (30) days of discovery will be given priority consideration.
9.4 For business users, any claim based on defects expires after twelve (12) months from when the Licensed Application was made available. Statutory periods apply for consumers.
10. Product Claims
Carrots LLC is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Licensed Application or Your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the application fails to conform to applicable legal requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection or privacy legislation.
11. Legal Compliance
You represent and warrant that You are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that You are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

13. Termination
This license is valid until terminated by Carrots LLC or by You. Your rights under this license terminate automatically if You fail to adhere to any term of this Agreement. Upon termination, You shall stop all use of the Licensed Application and destroy all copies. Sections 7 through 10 survive termination.
14. Intellectual Property Rights
Carrots LLC retains all intellectual property rights in the Licensed Application. This Agreement grants You a limited license to use the software and does not transfer any ownership rights. In the event of any third-party intellectual property claim, Carrots LLC will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claims.
15. Applicable Law
This License Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, excluding its conflict of law rules.
16. Miscellaneous
16.1 If any term of this Agreement becomes invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. Invalid terms will be replaced by valid ones that achieve the same primary purpose.
16.2 Changes and amendments to this Agreement are only valid if published at carrots-app.com/eula. Your continued use of the Licensed Application after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
